I'm a regular customer of Antigone's and live in the neighborhood. It's really a treasure of Tucson. They have an unique selection of books gifts and are always very helpful.
Antigone is a great place to just browse, shop for gifts or shop for yourself. They have a great selection of calendars, cards, journals, letter paper and they will make you laugh, too. The staff is friendly and helpful, too.
This is a great eclectic bookstore. They have tons of great books paired with stationary, journals and unique odds and ends - perfect for gift giving. I highly recommend taking a moment and browsing around, you are sure to find a treasure.
Sometimes I forget that Antigone's has a reputation for being a lesbian or feminist bookstore, because that's far from all they have to offer. Yes, they do specialize in those categories, but they also specialize in wonderful books…
